WashCo BTC Receives HACC Grant for Tour de Arts Bike Ride

 

Hillsboro, OR-June 11, 2016- The Washington County BIcycle Transportation Coalition (WashCo BTC) is pleased to announce it has received a $3000.00 grant from the Hillsboro Arts and Culture Council (HACC). These funds will support the new "Tour de Arts", a free community bicycle ride for individuals and families to discover neighborhoods and art located within Hillsboro.

 

The event, scheduled for Septembe 18, 2016 wil feature a shorter, family-friendly, route and a longer city-wide route to showcase art at parks and other venues. In addition to information about the art, local arts organizations and individuals will exhibit, create or perform at designated stops. The event concludes with a party hosted by Influence Gallery. "We're delighted to host this fun community bike ride," said Ed Ohlmann, one of the event organizers. "It's a great way for riders to explore Hillsobor and see the Beautiful art that's all around us." See washcobtc.org for details.

Hacc is a citizen advisory committee to oversee policies and programs pertaining to arts and culture for the City of Hillsboro, administered by the City of Hillsboro's Cultural Arrts Program Manager. The mission of the HACC is to promote and support the growth of arts and culture as assets for a vital, prosperour and livable community.
